Hi Crew:
Just wanted to say that this year,
BPP would totally like to put the Philippines on the
map for the International TALK LIKE A PIRATE DAY
celebration
which happens on September 19, Friday.

For now, it looks like a
* Dinner event very similar to Pirate Valentine's
last February 15th at Il Pirata at Eastwood and then
leading up to
* Music, dancing and drinking at Club Dredd
Bands we are looking at include:
Crowjane (singer Nicole is "pirate friendly" and she's
in our photo albums)
The Late Isabel (with BPP pirate Wawi Navarroza and
NWA's JP Agcaoili)
Free Fish (because they're so much fun)
The Spaceflower Show (so we can all get up and dance)
The BPP Singers :-P
Joniver (for pirate chanteys, etc.)
Each band will probably do a pirate song (the classic
Drunken Sailor is perfect for Spaceflower) or a
Rolling Stones tune--as a tribute to Papa Keith (we
can just imagine Nicole singing "Beast of Burden" and
Wawi dishing out "Paint it Black" maybe? We'll
probably ask if she can do "Hoist the Colors" like she
did at Hank's Birthday).
Of course this is all in our head and we haven't
officially sent out proposal letters or invites yet.
But we do want to celebrate.
Definitely costumed crew are welcome and encouraged as
well as volunteers for setting up the prod.
TLAP '08 here we come!
Tom, can you tell me who we get in touch with to let
the International Pirate Community know we're doing
this?
I know how to reach Point of the Cutlass and PotCBP
but I'd love to get an announcement on the TLAP site
too!
